ATH Jacquille Veii [Maryland - Signed NLI]

If you think about it we really don't have anyone behind Turner at slot. Westercamp could play there in a pinch.

There is a reason we are after a slot receiver so bad.

I guess I have always thought Moore was in that mold... he more of an outside guy?

I don't think the coaches ever just want one guy to count on at a certain spot. Bo preaches competition, competition, competition. I'm sure regardless of if Veii commits or not and where they put him we will still be recruiting another slot guy next year.

Being recruited as a CB.
Strange how this has changed in a matter of days. His interview a few days ago he said we were looking at him on offense. Wonder if the change has to do with Scott. Makes the Hunt thing very puzzling, by all accounts we had Hunt and he is very talented. On the bright side it's awesome to have a guy like this that can help your team where you need him.

Hunt wasn't the sure thing some thought he was. The size thing wasn't the deal breaker

Actually did some digging into this earlier today and yesterday, when I was hearing rumblings of Veii at CB.

Heard that Dashon is a little smaller than his measurables would suggest (beefed them up a little bit), didn't fit the Nebraska culture (isn't physical with WRs or in run support), and staff thought there wasn't much room to work with him, didn't see the potential to make him much better than he already is. But I was still led to believe the size/not physical enough to make up for his size led them to shy away from him.

Maryland has talent and is a very raidable state, especially with the the terps coming to the BIG, would be nice to get some good connections there.
