ATH Shawn Bodtmann

Why don't these kids get it? Pornstache sucked at Chicago and Miami. He hasn't had one winning-season in three at Pitt. But they are still headed to big things? That is just not proper thought-process. They are paying too much attention to that one win over WV, hell that would have been a loss with a healthy Pat White. Besides the D that won them that game and has kept them competitive lost their DC to Auburn. They are now without their best coach.

Pedey's boy is just not a good HC, his multiple chances have proven that. Look at the facts and not the recruiting spiel, you'll be better for it. Whether Neb is in the picture or not going with Wanny is not a good idea. .

Still scoring touchdowns

The Southside Steelers was the name of the midget football team, and it included a 6-year-old who was destined to find the end zone.

“I can remember my first touchdown,” Shawn Bodtmann said. “It was an interception for a touchdown.”

Scranton, Pa. (West Scranton)

6-0, 205, linebacker

Of note: Rated by Rivals.com as the nation’s No. 65 outside linebacker.

Friday night: West Scranton was 2-5 entering a game against Delaware Valley. As a running back and linebacker for West Scranton High School, Bodtmann is still scoring touchdowns. His biggest game this season came when West Scranton won 14-6 in the season opener, with Bodtmann scoring twice. He rushed for 1,500 yards and 25 touchdowns last season.

Bodtmann missed three games this year with a broken collarbone, but is getting along better now.

History of Big Red

His favorite class this year is creative writing, Bodtmann said. His last assignment was a five-page research paper. The topic: Nebraska football.

“I just basically talked about all the championships they’ve won,” he said. “I start with the first head coach until now, and just filled in the spaces with the Nebraska draft picks to the NFL.”

Most of his research came from the Internet, but Bodtmann also asked Nebraska linebackers coach Mike Ekeler and defensive coordinator Carl Pelini a few questions.

“They were pretty up to date with their stuff,” he said.

And what grade did he receive on the assignment? “I think I got a B,” Bodtmann said. “That’s not bad.”

One built bass

Football is the only sport Bodtmann plays, and if you ask him if he has a hobby he’d probably say football, too.

He does sing in the school choir, though. That’s led to a few trips, including one to Maryland.

“My freshman year my chorus teacher was a family friend, so she kind of forced me into taking it,” Bodtmann said. “But I’ve somewhat taken a liking to it, so it’s not too bad.”

Pennsylvania has over 12million folks, 6th most populous state. Making the top20 for a state that size is an achievement.
New York.

Pennsylvania is a big state, but it isn't a football factory compared to Texas, Florida, California, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, etc,.

Theres this new signing day vidcast on LJS and they say that there is some buzz that Shawn might drop out of this class. Does anybody know anything about this?
