The crowd of 86,304 for Nebraska Cornhuskers – Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 26, 2009 was a Memorial Stadium record crowd, bettering the 85,831 fans who saw the Nebraska-Virginia Tech game on Sept. 27, 2008. The game also marked the fifth-largest crowd ever to see Nebraska play at any location.
student section was ridiculously oversold with people standing in the aisles everywhere. eventually the orange-vested security guards kicked them all out or something because they disappeared. regardless, great game, great crowd, great records to break.
