That's why we (Police/SRT) train every chance when can on active shooter scenarios because one day you never know if today is the day! I know I carry my gun off duty everywhere I go, especially when I am with my family. I even carry it to church which is sad to say.

I wanna say MAJOR CUDOS to that 911 Operator! That man did a hell of a job keeping calm and taking the time to explain to the frightened callers what was going on!

That's so sad to listen to, but that 911 operator did a fantastic job. He remained calm and explained the situation to the callers. Great job on his part. Guru you are definately right that this is what SRT, SWAT, STAR, or whatever you want to call them train for. That would definately be a scary call to go to. Sad day for you folks in Nebraska. :hmmph
