Anybody heard anything new with him? I would expect his campus ban to be lifted considering it seems like hes been well behaved and hasnt gotten into trouble. The year ban started sometime last December right? So should be coming to an end i would think.

I gave an update somewhere yesterday, can't remember which thread. Here's what I remember:

Has done everything the university asked him to.

Wants to be here.

Has learned a lot and matured from the incident.

Is waiting for his hearing.

Hadn't talked to the new coaches but wants to so he can make sure they still want him.

Will have his hearing and go from there.

 
They better want him, the kids a beast. I'm sure this was a wake up call to him and he kept his end of the bargain. The kid made a mistake, owned up to it and now should be allowed back in my opinion. This is the type of guy we need on our team.

 
It would be very unfortunate for him if the new staff didn't want him to be part of the program. From most reports, he has kept his nose clean and done everything that has been asked of him. Sacrificed a year for this program. I hope his commitment is honored.

 
All signs are positive from his standpoint. Obviously we don't know Riley's view yet on this.

The most telling sign to me is that Arizona State wants him badly and he COULD have gone there this past year and worked out with their facilities and team while sitting out this year anyway, but he chose to stay here WITH THE RESTRICTIONS and work out on his own while being barred from campus facilities. That speaks volumes about his desire to remain HERE.

 
Just so we aren't confused, I wasn't meaning that the new staff isn't sure if they want him. The article was from a few days ago, so at the time we probably didn't even have a staff besides Riley. Moss just hadn't spoken with them yet.

 
Carrying the conversation over from the Gregory thread. I think Moss could flourish in the new system as well. I hope Riley at least considers bringing him back and using him to his fullest ability.

We all know Avery wants to come back, but it still up to UNL admissions. It's outside of MR and the football program's hand. From what I hear, he's done all that was asked of him and is hopeful that he will be officially re-instated as a student.
