B1G All-Bowl Team

Very nice! Seems like a lot of our guys had their best game of the year against Georgia.

Pat Smith should be the Big Ten All Bowl Kicker. Matt Wile (Michigan) made 2 field goals 22 & 26 yards. Pat Smith kicked a clutch 46 yarder in the rain.

Excellent. Hopefully that means the light has turned on for Mitchell, and I feel so happy for Thad to go out that way.
this was more about being in the right place at the right time w/ the fumble/interception. his play at CB was still suspect. we'll need someone better next year.
Are you talking in the bowl or all year? Georgia completed six passes to WRs for the game. I don't remember who was covering on the plays but I don't remember Mitchell getting beat badly during the game.

For the year, he got beat here and there but that's going to happen. I was actually surprised at how little teams threw at him considering how well SJB played (especially early in the year). You have to be doing some good things if teams don't throw at you very much.

Bowl. I don't remember specifics, I just remember saying to myself at some point during the second half that Mitchel is having a tough time in coverage. Wondering why he was out there. Wasn't that TE his responsibility a number of times?

Mitchell has had a really disappointing year to my untrained eye. I went into the season with no bias one way or the other, but found myself continuously groaning on plays only to see that "yep. josh got beat again."

I'd have to watch again to be sure but Mitchell (almost?) never has a TE as his primary coverage - he's always on a wideout. SJB is on the TE side.

Happy for the seniors to be going out on a high note after a tough season, it's especially nice for perpetually beat-up Randle.
