I agree and a lot of it has been borderline as far as whether we do anything or not.................you try to see if it turns into a discussion, but a lot of times it doesn't. We also have long time members just jumping on people for unpopular views. epocSoN has done that a few times and immediately tries to turn into a moderator and tells us to ban this person or close this thread. Just report it and we'll make that determination within the rules and the way we do things.

 
I'm not saying set aside the three strike rule, but simply be more liberal with people who are being wise asses with comments. It's ok to talk negatively and criticize the team and play, but when someone throws a stupid comment in about how fat Barney cotton is in a thread about special teams...I feel at this point in time feel free to ban. Direct any and all complaining to me.

Let people know this is not ok and yes we are stepping it up.

Will do. And the good news is, we probably won't have to do this for very long, just long enough to clean up the boards a bit. People will get the hint and keep it about football.

Well, the ones we want to stay will. The people just here to cause trouble will be gone.

Exactly. It's already starting to clean up a bit. Just have to plug away until then.

For the next couple days after you have to ban someone simply put in their this is not ok at anytime....an we just want this to be a place that is enjoyable to come to. In addition, please continue to report those who are posting non sense. This will give us a good idea of wha we are facing.

Also - that Deckedinblack guy you banned for seven days tracked me down on Twitter. He's bitching about his suspension. I told him he could discuss it with you when he comes back on 11/4/12, but the suspension stands.

I was nice about it. :D

I beleive it was warrented as much as it sucks to have a memeber banned after being here for over 5 years. Good catch

Remind people to go to the woodshed and post that type of stuff.

 
I think so. Reports are dwindling a bit, and with a couple of exceptions (Rationalfan), I haven't seen the crap we were experiencing. Walks alone claims he's not going to post because he did a shout-out for Martinez and got contrary opinions - but from what I've seen, anyone who disagrees with walksalone is, in his opinion, posting derp. In other words, he seems to think that opinions contrary to his own should result in the poster being banned.
