Exactly. I see no difference between the Penn State and the Baylor situation. While the football team itself was not involved in the Penn State case, to me the issue is the administration and allowing innocents to be harmed.
Yeah, it's best not to let the Baylor discussion get out of control. Good move putting The Knife's post in the junkyard.
But I don't see this being nearly as appalling as the Penn State scandal. Sure, what the Baylor players apparently did was criminal. And the Baylor administrators seem to be culpable for failing to act on it. But it does not rise to the level of Sandusky's child molestation or the years that PSU covered it up. Perhaps we can afford to be a bit more laissez faire with the discussion.
