Bo after 7 years

Putting this in the shed because I need to vent.

We just pulled off a win over Iowa in OT. I'm happy for the players and BRI for not having to take crap from the local Iowans. But aside from that, I still cannot find any faith in Bo as a head coach. I think he peaked and won't do any better than this. Since the Wisconsin game I've completely checked out with him as HC here. I want him gone. I don't believe things will change. Meaning, I don't think he is capable of leading a team to a top 7-15 quality type of season consistently. This win is a band aid and a camouflage to cover up the ugly embarrassing loses that have amounted under him against ranked teams. After this win, maybe we'll receive some votes to sneak back into the top 25.

I love the team. But I just cannot stand that friggin' idiot. Anyone else feel similar to this?

Thought when the Huskers were down 24-7 to friggin Iowa, if they end up losing, there is hope that the asswipe would be fired.

yeah that's what I'm thinking too, beanman. And it just ticks pisses me off.

I know once I have a few beers this evening, I won't be able to hold back lol.

this was one of bo's badder teams. and he is a coach that has not proven anything. this is year 7 and everything said this should be a breakthrough season. no excuses. we had a heisman candidate running back, top 5 nfl draft pick at de, and a joke of a schedule.

and here we are, needing an ot victory to beat a bad iowa team to get to that coveted 9 wins.

and we have zero reason to believe next year will be any different. just like we did not have anything to look forward to this time last year.

maybe we beat tennessee in a crap bowl game and enough fans buy back in to save the sellout streak. i don't know. but i don't see myself giving much of a damn about this program until a new coach is hired.

I feel the same way. But get ready for another year of the same because I'd be absolutely shocked if he's let go.
Yep. It's going to be an even longer year if we manage to lose to Miami, which I think we'll have a better chance of doing.
Don't forget about BYU. Their QB will be back after that ugly season ending injury. They were like 6-0 and he was getting some Heisman chatter. There's 2 potential non-conf ugly losses if we keep this crappy coach.

Thought of BYU as soon as I hit "Add Reply".
I don't think we will lose, but it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility.

Yep. They could have 10 wins for all I care. Nothing will erase that sh#tstorm at Camp Randall. I'm sick of those headline games turning out like that.

MSU was another big ol' no show for 3 1/2 quarters. Primetime Saturday night. Bo cannot get the job done against a well prepared team.

I'm not as confident as you, even if you're leaning 60/40 Huskers. There's not enough good wins for me to be convinced anymore that Bo can beat a zone running team with a really good QB. That's where I'm at with him.

2015 is a respectable season overall. The Big Ten should be much improved because it really couldnt be any worse than this year. BYU and a road trio to Miami. Whoever the coach is, win this schedule and we are back in the national spotlight.

Will it be Bo? Probably. Im guessing Papsmear is gone though and Beck takes the KU job. I dont know who or what replaces them. And I dont know that whatever happens changes a f'ing thing.

What do I know? I had fun watching the Huskers play today. They stumblefucked around and played poorly a lot. But damn that was a fun game. That isnt nothing. I dont know what to expect moving forward but for the first time in a month or more Im having fun again, I hope it lasts.

That game for for third in the big ten west might in fact be the very definition of nothing.

This has what we have to root for. And people want to tell us it's the same as Alabama and Oregon. Orwell couldn't have thought this up.

It was thrilling and exciting later in the game. Good thing DPE got the chance to rebound from last week and stick it to Iowa. TA kept competing and chucking it with nothing to lose. Ameer picked up the intensity. Gerry played solid again. Even KB played pretty well. Iowa just wasn't able to stick the dagger in because they are a below average football team. And we are slightly better.

But no matter how the Huskers won it, the overall performance looked like a typical Bo Pelini coached team. I still think the dipsh*t can't take the next step - turning a good team with a fairly easy schedule into a great team. He had his best shot this year and f'ing blew it. Completely blew it.

Beating Iowa to finish 3rd in the Big Ten is largely pointless yes.

But, my point is I enjoyed the game. I allowed myself to have some fun. It was sloppy sure. But honestly what the fu#*$ the point of investing time into this team if you cant enjoy the little things.

Id enjoy it alot more if we just slaughtered Iowa to go undefeated, but Bo is still the coach after all and that just wasnt happening.
