Bo being gone could already be a done deal

OK prolly not but... I think OSU has Bo in mind big time. I think it shows in the fact that they will not search for a new head coach till after the upcoming season. When you look at Bo you know it will take time with contract restrictions and such. I like Bo. However him being an OSU alum and native its all too much to ignore. Us being in the conference now does add a strange dynamic to it, but I guess if you were going to bolt the sooner the better on that one for him.

Lets just reopen Rumorville right now...

Bo will not go to tOSU because they will have so many sanctions that it wont be viable for him to win or succeed. Now, once all the sanctions are done, maybe he heads that way but for now, no chance.

Not saying it's not possible, but I would be extremely surprised if he went to OSU. Too many negative factors right now to make even seriously considering it worthwhile.

First let's see how bad OSU get's punished. If the sanctions are too much for too long it won't be attractive for anyone. Just because he played at OSU doesn't mean that it's his dream to coach there. Bob Stoops doesn't want to leave OU anytime soon for Iowa even though he played there. Maybe he loves Nebraska now and doesn't want to leave?

I think first and foremost tOSU is going to look at Urban Meyer. He's the best coach out there right now without a coaching job. That said, I don't know what Meyer will do. He had pretty convincing reasons for leaving the college game this year and I'm not sure if this is the right time for him. I would put his chances pretty low.

To be honest it's going to be extremely tough to convince a coach to come to tOSU with the restrictions and penalties they're a sure bet to get hit with. It would take me too long to list the reasons why Bo would not want to leave with Nebraska, most importantly being the stability here right now.
