Board Lagging

I noticed this during the game last weekend and now.  The board seems to REALLY lag in page loading when there are a lot of people logged in.  On one hand, that's kind of how it works.  But on the other, I don't think there are THAT many people to see such a bad drop.

Is anyone else seeing this or is it just me?  I know I got a couple errors last game where the board wouldn't even load and I just got an HTML error page.  At least one other user posted a screen shot of that.

@Eric the Red and @Blackshirt are there different levels of service that we have to choose between?  Because if there are we should really look into upgrading.  It really sucks to have the board be borderline unusable when the most people are trying to access it.

 
It's happening to me and has happened a few times today (even before the Eichorst firing). I also noticed it last night.

The way it often works for me is I'll click a thread link (usually from the main page), the page will do a partial load and then the rest of the page won't load to show the new posts. But, the spinning circle in the browser keeps spinning. The weird this is if I refresh the page and click... the problem almost immediately fixes itself.

Ironically, trying to click into this thread from the main page caused the board to lag.

 
I'm sure the new software  is a bit more "heavy" in terms of resource needs.

Unfortunately, we don't really have reporting on utilization historically so I don't have any data on what resource was constrained, if any.  

If we stop firing people and start winning games that would fix this issue too. ;)

 
Is there not going to be any response on this?

The board was almost un-usable last night.  It's lagging TERRIBLY right now.  It's basically going to crash here in an hour or so when the press conference starts to say nothing of when a new coach is hired.

If we're really looking to increase users and traffic, having the board go down during the time when most people are looking to get on is a terrible way to accomplish this.

 
Agreed, it's becoming an issue with large announcements and to me obviously drives traffic away. I know there are costs obviously associated with making the board more responsive, but that seems to be the most logical next step. 

 
Yeah, definitely has been almost unusable the past 18 hours. Added server space will obviously mean more costs, but something has to be done.

 
I have confidence we can get the board to donate and help cover some of those costs if they're necessary. It was very bad this morning and afternoon for me.

I'd even be willing to chip in a bit more than I normally do if it means we can separate our performance from other area boards.
