Board Reorganization

Team HuskerBoard
Landlord bumped his thread in the Board Feedback the other day concerning reorganization. With the recent events, I'm inclined to think we might need a tweak or two. Right now, we have three main categories - Husker Sports, Other Stuff, and Mods. What I have in mind is the following:

1. Rename Husker Sports to simply Sports.

2. Move Husker A/V & Tech Club to the Other Stuff, and rename it simply A/V and Tech Forum.

3. Under Husker Sports, add the Big 12 sub-forum and add a Big 10 sub-forum as forums, and place them under the All Other Husker Sports fourm; Alternatively, we could simply create a Conference forum in the same location and move all the current Big 12 stuff under that, and have posts about the Big 10 in there - anything conference related.

4. Move the More Sports fourm into the new Sports category, but at the very end.

Thoughts?

Take you're time - we don't need to do anything, and frankly I've been resistant to the idea; it seems to be working fine now. And making the changes Landlord wants or that I suggested has one huge downside - we end up with the "major" category no focusing exclusively on the Huskers. That's the part I really don't like.

And guys, chime in with thoughts. A reorg is not something we want to do lightly - we want to be sure that if we do it, it enhances the user experience and won't require major adjustments later on.

Like I said, I'm perfectly content with the way it is - everyone is used to it, it works.

The other main board I go to, FantasyFootballCafe, reorganized their forums about two years ago to make things better, easier, etc. It was a disaster, and it's hard to navigate the site now. Membership has plummeted.

I say keep it just the way it is. One member's wish list isn't a reason to change the site. If enough members start mentioning a need, then we can look further into this.

What "problem" would we be solving with a re-org, anyway?

I completely agree. Not to be an as$, but Landlord is getting a bit ridiculous with his relentless bumping of his own "idea" threads.
