We need to purchase the add on to be able to see the replies, which I think would be a good option.

I haven't found a way to limit it to one per member.  There are very few settings that I can find.  I'm just waiting for the first person to try to fill the whole thing with all their own updates.

 
The 'replies to' are particularly strange. Several people have directly made status updates that tag other members, which causes one or two people to have several posts in the updates at one time.

I think that add on would be a good idea, too. I can rouse the troops to donate more money when necessary.  :lol:

I tried adding these as the icons for the Huskerboard donor groups but that's not displaying for people whose primary group is not Huskerboard Donor. So perhaps we'll have to do it the old way. Edit: the previous way doesn't work anymore. Alas.

I've also added the ads back in, I think. Let me know if they're back.

As a test I tried excluding certain groups from seeing the ads (all the HB donor groups, which are only secondary groups for everybody). This didn't work, sadly. Well, I tried!

 I always recommend this for forums, is to try and dedicate sometime building your forum into more of a publication. This helps monetize things since forums are on a downward trend. The add-on Pages makes it super simple to set up an article system, have some volunteers to write articles, optimize the meta tags for SEO, throw some ads up. Just an idea :).

It's a good idea if you want to look into it. I noticed this "promote to social media" or article ability while poking around, and maybe that's something you can explore with some of the better Husker threads around here.

Does anyone else have an issue with not getting any notifications when you are away from the board? What I mean is if anyone quotes or likes my post, or reports a post while I am not on my phone or computer, it doesn't show up on my notification list when I come back. Everything is checked for me to receive a notification, but it doesn't seem to register when I am away.
