Boehner to resign

If he's falling on a sword to prevent another pointless government shutdown, I can at least respect that. Seemed like Boehner wanted to do big things like compromise on long term solutions to entitlement spending and debt, but was completely incapacitated by a caucus that has no concept of compromise.

Not sure this is a good thing. Let's see who his replacement is and how well they can deal with -- or serve -- the Tea Party.

Well, i would prefer someone in his position to tell the Tea Party to go drink something....probably not tea.

I want someone who holds conservative ideas but is open minded and can be worked with. Someone who leads the party in congress to a less cantankerous attitude.

 
The current majority leader is said to be front runner - McCarthy I don't know much about him. I didn't like Boehner's leadership. He seemed to be more talk than action.

 
Thank goodness...now if Obama and McConnell would resign, we might see some positive things get done in Washington for once. Seriously, how hard is it to pass immigration reform and secure the border?

 
We don't need immigration reform. The border is as secure as it needs to be.

These are red herrings. Stop falling for this stuff.
