It's kind of hard to tell sometimes between some of the tards that roam the board and the trouble makers. Last time they were definitely too corny to be true.

Both in NY. Must be the same guy. BTW, how did we implicate the old BBC - noticed he never made any posts? And the new one seems fairly tame so far - at least he generated a decent discussion.

The old BBC was nailed by us going to HPH and viewing the posts - there was at least one post where the user stated he had created the BBC on our board, and was going to lay low. We preemptively banned it before any posts.

HPH is Husker Power Hour, a Huskerboard run by three a$$hole$. One of them - on HPH - goes by the handle "The Beekeeper". Steve something or other. He's an attorney who wants to be a sportscaster - he entered that ESPN contest a couple of years ago.

You may recall that about a year ago we were infested with trolls for a short time. A lot of threads being locked and posters banned (take a look at the Offending Posts thread in the Board Feedback form for a stroll down memory lane - ugh). HPH apparently - from what we could see on their board - periodically likes to "hit" other boards and try and overwhelm them with trolling.

HPH has a $5/month membership fee, and Chad paid up for one. We started hanging out at the board and the dumbasses were posting their Huskerboard names and antics. Using those lists, we were able to ban a lot of them before they derailed threads. A few managed to post a bit before we discovered who they were.

I can't recall who it was, but one of our members also belongs to HPH, and started sending us PMs telling us about it. We had kinda figured out what was up, but that helped us find out who was doing it.

Here's a list of the names of HPHers that we banned so far - it may not be entirely complete, but it's close:

Have to agree. It was too much of a coincidence that those two names are variations of HPH names - but for both of them to come from the same IP clinches it. My guess is that an HPHer either moved to a new location and has a new IP, or he is currently visiting a city and will try to use those names later when he returns home.

One is a coincidence - two is a conspiracy.

 
Done. if they are legit they will email me when they find their acct suspnded. and if they do, I'll ask for a "non freemail" addy.
