I don't care what sport it is. If you have a metric that is supposed to order the teams from best to worst, winning % should be the #1 factor. Make it worth only 30% if you want, but the other factors should be worth less. And having opponent win % worth more is simply moronic.

Matt just dropped a whole boat load of facts on why RPI and being so focused on teams "paper numbers" is silly.

I am not saying it shouldnt be a factor, but we need to use our eye balls and also understand what teams looked like when you played them.

Nebraska played a top 15 Minnesota team that was healthy and still had all there players yet that win now means nothing.

RPI is a faulty stat.

No problem, as always.

For those watching tonight...

Cheer Tennessee, Vandy, Saint Joesephs, Florida at 6:00.

Is TCU really? Wow. I guess let’s re think that.

K State does need to beat Baylor on sunday for sure though... what do we think?
I think both will get in, but K State's resume is very blah and they aren't far from the bubble. TCU's only non con loss was to Vanderbilt, which isn't great, but it's only one.

Pretty good so far. Mississippi State didn't come close to the big win they needed. Alabama didn't come close to getting their lock. Rhode island got crushed by a bad team, but their RPI was 8 before tonight. They'll likely get in. Missouri got pushed by Vandy but avoided the bad loss.
