I've never been, but I can tell you to expect to be treated with hostility. Badger fans take pride in treating opposing fans like s***.

 
Badger fans are the worst. Be prepared to be heckled, a lot. Last time I was there I gave it back as much as I got it. Seemed to surprise a lot of them. It will be fun as long as you have the right attitude. I'm looking for tickets for the game this year as well.

I am friends with UW grads. Great people to be around most of the time. But when you start mixing alcohol with Badger/Packer football, they turn into the biggest a-holes around. I think that they take a college course on it or something.

 
I remember them yelling at me all goddamn game. Nonstop. Melvin Gordon TD after Melvin Gordon TD...

On my way out of the stadium with about 2 mins left in the 4th, I looked over at a big group of the fans (all genders alike) who had been giving me the hardest time. I told them that they had one hell of a RB and he was a joy to watch, and I wished them good luck with the rest of their season.

"Go f#*k yourself, buddy"

That sums up my trip.

That said, I'm going back this month, so we'll see if I can weather the storm again.

You will have a great time...I went and never heard anything negative and was never hassled at all. Of course...I am a freaking boss!

 
My brother went to a game there. Said the fans were terrible, even had people throw nachos and other food at him during the game. With that said, he was also near their student section, and isn't afraid to run his mouth at times.

That's pretty much how my trip went down. Won't be going back there again. Heres how I explained it to people. Imagine a Colorado fan had a baby with a Missouri fan & let a Chiefs fan raise it.

I feel bad for the people that were treated like sh#t. I am sure the feelings of being treated poorly were magnified by the beat downs.

 
I've been there for both games. Never had any issues with fans and I spent Friday night and all day Saturday at the bars both times.

 
Went to the 2 previous games. The number of Nebraska fans at the first game was incredible. Had to be at least 30k the first year. Never encountered any problems and had a great time on each trip other than we got manhandled both times.

 
Just got back from Madison this weekend. It is a really fun town. There are some fun restaurants and bars in the center of town. The Old Fashioned is all Wisconsin goods. Check it out if you can. They have a traditional fish fry on Fridays

 
Comments about the fans are just about what I was expecting to hear, based on previous threads. In 1999, I went down to Missouri game (two years after the '97 immaculate reception, their a-hole fans wanted blood), so weathering a s*** storm of harassment doesn't bother me. I just kept smiling at them through the game as the Huskers took care of business.

In a couple weeks, I'm hoping to re-live that moment, the one where the home team gets really quiet while the Huskers take apart the SkunkWeasels.

Gonna be a good time.
