Tim Miles: 'All that hexing and vexing crap, don't put that on me.'Bo Pelini: 'Changing conferences means we had to change how we recruit so it was super tough on us.'
You're right, it's still 1997, now where is that Sears Trophy that is my birthright, cuz I'm a Nebraska fan.....

And even with all that going on, he's still done nothing less than win 9/10 games a year, much to the chagrin of the entitled fans.
What the heck kind of comment is that? Do you really think that just because people are critical of Pelini they want him to lose?
I think the Sacrifice thread shows there are 6 posters on this board that want Bo to lose 7 games in order to get fired. They are actively rooting against the Huskers in order to justify getting rid of a coach they don't like.

I thought it was pretty straight forward, the entitled fans gnash their teeth and cry that Bo can ONLY win 9 (or 10) games per year.

Oh, how I feel sooooooo bad for them.
I think we may be more concerned with what he can't seem to win, but hey....

you can say we are entitled because we want to win (or at least compete every game), but i do not see that as a bad thing. dissatisfaction is a symptom of high standards. it is the coal that fuels the fire.

I always get confused how this ever gets twisted into a conversation about 'entitlement.'

If the fans want a better program, they should, what, ... work for it? earn it?

Nebraska is an extraordinarily tradition-rich and premier college football program that has standards for success that are not exceeded by anybody in the country. The only entitlement issue relevant here is the crazy idea that a coach who can't live up to those (admittedly extremely high) standards should be entitled to keep his job for years and years.

Yeah, because as "one of the greatest fans in college football" I DESERVE conference and national titles.

It does not take a top-notch coach a long time to turn a program around. All that hexing and vexing and [stuff] is just that, and you can print it.

When Bo took over the collapsed culture at Nebraska, it seemed the stamp he was about to put on it was one of toughness, accountability, and winning. Instead it's been, of late, defensive, defiant, excuse-making, and celebrating four losses. Our coach and team are both less known for a hard-nosed brand of football than for losing their handle.

This offseason, we're hoping for a breakthrough metamorphosis for Bo. I'll never say never, though.
I must have missed that day,

Sd'sker and Polo essentially backing Callahans staff and coaching choices while simultaneously criticising Bo's coaching choifes.

I honestly cant think of anything to say. Thread 1 Redux Confused

You're saying we are backing Callahan. I'd say you're confused as well.

Well you claim the previous staff was not a "dumpster fire" and continually cite that their retainment under current regime is reason enough that they were capable.

All the while mocking Bo's ability to coach a team.

I dont get it. Well the frustration of no trophies I understand. Bo supporters are just as disheartened by that. What I dont get is the constant disdain and negatism. You claimed that the statute of limitations for what Callahan did to the program are over. Fine. Past is in the past. How about letting the 2012 &2011 seasons stay in the past as well then.
