Can you believe that was his first TD?

Great how they did it with the same play he lost the ball in the light last week on. Talk about putting the trust on a young man and saying "hey, we're gonna do it again, and this time EVERYTHINGS on the line, now go do it". Yes, Turner is doghouse material for sure.

Jamal has had his opportunities in the past but failed to execute. I just wish he would run a little more north and south instead of dancing in circles. I do believe he is going to continue to improve and become a top notch weapon for Big Red.
I would like to see us throw the ball out of that reverse play.

It's not really the same play I would say. That play last week, Jamal was headed to the back corner of the end zone. And it wasn't just a matter of losing the ball, which wasn't in the right place to begin with. Taylor needed to lay that...if I recall, in front of Jamal at the corner, and instead it was high and behind him as he was cutting to the corner. Once he did find the ball he had no chance to get back to it. If he got his head around quicker it may have given him enough time to adjust back...or if the ball had simply been in the right neighborhood to begin with it would've come right to him.

This play, Jamal was lined up in the slot and did a short little underneath route to the outside, where his man was behind him (vertically). The other play, he had to get behind his man.

MLB, that was Bell on the reverse today, wasn't it?

Jamal said it was the same play.

Ha, shows what I know, I guess!
Ha. It was. Both plays, the outer receiever ran quick in while Jamal, from the slot, head for the corner. last week, yes, Martinez couldve put the ball in a better spot, but if you watch it, it was still catchable as the defender was not in any position to make a play, and it was clearly an issue that Turner lost track in the ball.

Jamal Electric.

Dude is about ready to put a stamp on the rest of this yr and the next 2 yrs. book it

I watched him in practice last Friday and he is loose, fun, fast, and fearless.

Now he seems to be focused. Love this guy.

I'll raise my hand and say that I had no idea that this was Jamal's first score

Incredible. I really think we should use him more in a variety of different situations, but I'm glad that he made this play!

Last minute scoring TD by Martinez and Jamal came through against the top 5 ranked defense in the country.....straight epic (however, I do think Mich St's D is a tad bit overrated). Helluva game!!! Loved it!

I was so damn happy to see Jamal finally get a TD! I think the young man deserves it.

Nothing like the memory of your first time scoring. I have written this before- but I think Turner could do great things out of our Wildcat set.

Yeah!

Jailbreak WR screens too. I really think he's a beast in the slot. Reed should be used on the line to get him on LBs; Jamal in the slot can probably slip away from any CB and be our Wes Welker. Get the ball to Jamal in space 5-10 times a game and that's a lot of yardage.

I think he's going to be one of the most talented receivers we've seen here at NU over the next few years and I thought that while watching him last year. He's like Braylon Heard in he has A LOT of natural talent for his position. He's extremely fast and shifty as well and going to be a lot of fun to watch over the next few years. I had an Iowa fan last year say, "you guys need to get that kid the ball more!" So other fans see it as well.............
