I don't post a whole lot on this board but after a night full of insomnia i thought i migh sit down and give us some thoughts to ponder.
This Saturday our boy's travel to Lawrence to take on the Jayhawks in what will be the most important three game stretch of this season.
we haven't won there the past two tries after winning the thirty some odd in a row victories.
To make this change obviously we have to play the same D we did against a capable Oklahoma O.
We do this harass reesing we got a good chance at this one.
their offense the past couple games has put up 13, 21, AND 10 points in their previous three contests.
all of these teams they played fielded anywhere from average to great defenses.
As always the question is all about wither or not our O shows up.
The key for the offense be it Green or Lee under center will be to have run the football as much as conceivably possible. The Kansas front four is decent but their linebackers are suspect.
run the football, set up the play action pass and short to middle field throws to harass the linebackers and throw in the occasional screen just to screw with them.
With Roy back to fairly good Health it bring us out of one dimensionality at least a little bit.
If i was Watson i might start green just because i want to run this game plan. Green is money on short throws and has show the ability when not suffering from the flu to be a legit threat running the option.
If i were to want to pursue a deep passing game it would be Lee hands down.
needless to say the play i want to see most in this game with our current personnel is the famous Black 41 flash reverse to green or lee.
Both run a 4.6 and could make a young Kansas front pay dearly.
But i must give kudos to the Kansas D before i wrap this up. Stucky and the secondary is full of Athletes, keeping them a non-factor will be a big goal in this game.
This will be a rough game before the KSU game.
i believe in the team and its coaching and i think the guys are starting to believe in them selves with each week.
so i say Nebraska 24 - Kansas 10
