Careful Driver

I'm driving down a highway at the legal 55-miles-per-hour speed limit. I'm sober; my license plates, license and insurance are in order; and I'm wearing my seat belt. I passed three cars without going over 55 miles per hour, yet a state patrol office pulled me over and gave me a ticket. Why?

 

Figured you all would like the thought of me getting a ticket. <_<

I was traveling in the wrong direction down a one-way street; the cars I passed were all going the other way.
