Carl Pelini thread

Follow-up: Husker 37 just responded and apologized. He thought the original stuff was removed because of the kids. I told him "no worries" and gave him the ol' thumbs up. :thumbs

 
Does anyone mind if I lock this thread? I've had to edit out this woman's name two times in the last two days. I've posted a request not to name names, but I won't be surprised if it's not read, or ignored, or forgotten.

Anyone feel it should remain open?

 
I think it's pretty likely that carl pelini discussion will continue to go on in any event. If the name doesn't crop up in this thread, it may just crop up in another one...

I agree with you both. the thread needs to die and it will probably pop up again but at least if we nix it the content will be gone and we can monitor a smaller thread.

I would move it to the junkyard and wait and see if another one brews. As long as a new thread isnt directly pointing out the female or her families identity though, it should stay IMO.

I wonder if moving it to the junkyard is necessary. Some of the posts (the ones involving names and pictures) have been in bad taste because of their targeting nature, but otherwise, it has been a legitimate discussion about a rumor. I do understand locking it, if things are getting out of hand - but not sure I see justification for junkyard.

I guess it comes down to pruning that thread and keeping watch , or nixing it. Guys Im cool either way.

Maybe post a warning in the thread that names and pictures are not permitted or we will have to take measures..??

(Measures being the JY..??)

Whether we lock it or move it, someone will post about it again. I think Mike's idea is best - keep posting that names and pictures of the alleged parties - except Carl - are prohibited. You can note that one reason we feel the need to do that is to help protect HuskerBoard from any possible legal action - no matter how unlikely it would be that someone would win a case.

Glad all of you are here. When I first started we had some trolls like benard, and others that kept us pretty busy especially being a noob. You guys have hit the ground running much better than I ever could. That's great.
