Agreed.  My stance is if you don’t want to go public then you shouldn’t be “committing” at all.

This is a little different.  A silent commit a week before signing day and a silent commit in October are not the same.  If I was a recruit at this point I would tell coaches i am N and  just wait and announce on NSD to publicly commit.  No harm in that.
