Could this be a situation where he joins us in January if he misses his SAT (assuming he makes the grade taking it again in the fall) instead of juco?

Isn't that what Heard/CJax did?

When will the SAT/ACT get their act together...offer the test online...grade it online...and have open testing dates. This is no the 80's and 90's anymore. I know it is not because my hair is not feathered and I don't have my jean jacket on...at the moment

I know he wants to play right away as all kids do but Blades really needs to put on some weight. I'm not cheering for academic failure by any means but if his grades situation were to wind up meaning he reported later in the summer and led to a redshirt I think it might actually be beneficial to his football career as well. Especially with how deep our secondary is this year

Have you proctored an ACT/SAT before?

This is a discussion for another time but I wouldn't call us deep, especially at CB. We have 1 proven guy at CB.

Dont think he is a redshirt kid. He is too athletic and long, and his size isnt bad. He would be a special teams starter and probably get some situational snaps. We have good starters in the defensive backfield, but we are not deep. Lee is a backup CB we can probably trust and K. WIlliams is a solid back up safety, but after that it is open.

The proctoring is why you can't have entirely open dates. And why a student can't just take it at home.

I don't think he's going to redshirt, I just meant my comment as I think it would be beneficial to him as a football player. He's obviously long and athletic but he needs to add weight and adjust to the college game.

Same reason I wish Lamar Jackson would've redshirted.

I don't ever remember doing it...I have had teaching friends that have and I think they got paid like 40 dollars or something like that...they liked that part of it!

Have you had the chance to do it?

Why not? They have testing centers all over the country. Not to mention JC's, why would they not offer it online and available at all times. They have proctors there all the time. I didn't mean taking it at home, sorry about the confusion on that part!

The rooms are only so big and you need to schedule proctors for each room in advance. So you could have an open date on a first-come-first-served basis until the seats filled up.
