CB Elijah Blades [Oregon Commit]

To which school will Blades commit?

Soooooo - he's live periscoping right now and saying he is not coming to Nebraska. Maybe going JuCo or overseas but FB is over. He has 2 kids (1 on the way) and is going to focus on supporting it.

Two pieces of the puzzle that people were very excited about. Hopefully this next class can all make it with all of the highly rated guys we are looking at getting to campus. Last years class really is not great without Watts, KJJ, and Blades but this year's has the potential to make up for it.

Wish the best for this kid and hope he can be a great father figure to those 2 kids. That's the most important thing by far.

 
Bit harsh to say last year's class is no good because we lost these two.

I'd be interested to see averages on numbers that fall off. I don't think we have a worse attrition than usual, we were all just more involved in signing day and etc and felt we had more invested in the class.

Sorry, I was accounting for three. I know KJJ is slated to be back by January, but I'm skeptical to say the least. Without those three it drops us to #32 which I don't think anyone would be happy with.

Again, this year's class has the potential to make up for it, but those would be 3 huge pieces to be without going into the Fall.

 
So, it's a 35 minute video. And I didn't watch the whole thing.

But apparently at the end he said it was a joke.

So it's either quite the troll job or ....... I have no idea what.

At this point if he makes it here good. But cb isn't a position I'll be concerned about as long as Donte is here.
Not a fan of trying to troll or make a joke of it. Seems he was trying to pull attention away from fnl

Watts isn't making it or what? I don't recall hearing him leaving or not making it to campus.

He's not on campus yet. Waiting on test scores. Also signed with a JUCO in case he doesn't make it.

I agree with you - the timing was just too on the nose w/FNL going on.

I think he probably came up short grade-wise and is now giving a lot of excuses why he won't be here. Or at least setting things up for that to be the case. If he was "joking" I'd be surprised - I watched for most of it live, and there were about 100 people on trying to get details and clarity and he was very consistent with the "I'm not going to NE".
