He's listed at 180, so that would be 60 lbs.

I have thought for a while he would end up at maybe strong safety.

What I saw was "grow into a safety or OLB" which, in this defense, I'm not sure is so much an edge rusher as OLB and Nickel are basically interchangeable - especially against multiple wideout sets - so I would think that's more what they are meaning.

I am good with whatever they choose to do with him. I think when he gets here and they evaluate him and he shows promise at CB or Safety they will gear his development plan for that. If we have good depth at those spots and they think they can put the weight on him and could see bulking him up to 235-240 and play outside linebacker then thats what they will do. He would be a pretty badass outside linebacker with 4.59 speed and 38" vertical.

Nice catch;  at this time Javin sees himself in a corner or safety role if he adds some weight.  That's what he said on Sharp and Benning this AM.  Sounds like a good kid and another good addition for the class.

Even with all the predictions I wouldn't put hope in this commit until it happened.  He's not our best recruit but I'm elated to get him.  Just thought UCLA and Kelly were gonna "sniff and steal" one from us with UCLA having us in most recruiting battles.

Welcome aboard!

I would take another 6'3 corner with a 38.6" vertical any day of the week.
