If he wants to be a cardiologist, that means he needs basically a 4.0gpa, so even though the biology or psychology programs at Nebraska aren't on the same level as a Stanford, it may give him the opportunity he needs to get into med school by choosing Nebraska. Just a thought.Turner's recent HI article (2/10/10) states that his early Top 5 are:
Miami
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Notre Dame
Stanford
Academics will be a big factor for him since he aspires to be a Cardiologist.
Nah . . . his undergrad GPA just needs to be good enough to get into med school. Once you are into med school your undergraduate grades don't matter. From then on the only thing that determines your ceiling is your board scores and your class grades in med school. If he wants to be a cardiologist, that means he needs basically a 4.0gpa, so even though the biology or psychology programs at Nebraska aren't on the same level as a Stanford, it may give him the opportunity he needs to get into med school by choosing Nebraska.
