One of Nebraska’s best evaluation wins in this class was Ronald Delancy III, a three-star cornerback that has seen his profile rise after a decommitment from Louisville, a commitment to Nebraska and a very strong season. A teammate of Fleming, Delancy will be playing in the state championships in Florida this weekend.
Should Nebraska be worried about the Hurricanes late offer?
“I think Delancy is going to stick,” Ivins said. “I think Miami was a little too late to the party if we’re going to be honest and Ronald told me that when Miami offered.
“I think there’s a little sour taste in his mouth there. Miami would like to get him in this weekend for an official visit, but the problem is Miami Northwestern is playing in the state title game Saturday at noon. It’s just not realistic. It seems like Nebraska has a good strong hold on this one and should feel pretty good heading into next Wednesday.”
