I prefer giving parody a lot of leeway, given how much I like to use it myself. If you don't want Kamala Harris to be President, this is a pretty good takedown. I still think the Deep State s#!t is really weak, but this is well done and I can't imagine being offended if someone compiled a Donald Trump hit piece using a Donald Trump AI generated voice. 

The difference is that you wouldn't need to script out an AI generated Trump hit piece. You could use 100% real Donald Trump audio/video. 

And of course the troubling number of Trump voters who would not understand this as parody, but as Kamala confessing to her own evil. 

Of course we're not talking about parody here. We're talking about the new and almost undetectable ability to manipulate audio and video to intentionally misrepresent people.

 No, just pointing out to the poster that both things can be true.  A registered Republican who’s money goes to Democrat causes.

Don’t plan on it.  This is a strange request considering you haven’t asked others who have recently been posting actual false information and deleted tweets. 

 
So, the blue check mark people on X that get banned or kicked off.  Do they just join again with a new email and start over or what is the deal?

Does it show their followers that they have been banned?

Musk is wrong for this. Free speech especially includes ideologies and things you do not like for the greater good as the shoe could be on the other foot depending on the moderator. Both the idea and need of free speech and challenging widespread thought does not come from widely agreed and accepted viewpoints.

It's going to be way worse on both sides on all social media apps. AI is so much more advanced than it was in 2020 and the ability to use it for disinformation is pretty powerful at this point. It's not going to get any better I can tell you that much. Even the most discerning people can be fooled it is not easy to parse the real from the fake. It freakin sucks for everybody

fwiw....that excuse does sound plausible.   but i am not a tech bro and it might be easier to sort that stuff than i think it is.   

 
Saw this on Yahoo.   I don’t know the X rules on this sorts thing but The Wrap doesn’t seem like a right leaning or Elon Musk friendly publication so they may know what they are talking about here.

Update: As of Tuesday morning, the account has been reinstated and the user behind @whitedudesforharris — a separate account — clarified online that he created the other account to prevent bad actors from taking it. The dual accounts are the likely culprit for why @whitedudes4harris was suspended in the first place, but X has still not responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
