Changes to the Three-Strike System?

If you haven't already, please see zoogie's post in the zE bOp thread HERE. He has suggested changes to the three-strike system. I posted a reply saying we'd certainly consider it, and then giving some background. Any thoughts? Does it need changing? If so, in what way?

 
I believe it's more like what you said Frank. Depending on the severity and type of offense. Maybe less severe as zoogie suggests for the normal name calling-slap fighting by increasing warning and 1 day suspension for the initial and following offense. Then a 7 day for the next offense. But all things considered the Admin should also be allowed to ban someone on a first offense due to the severity/nature of the transgression. $.02

I would just like to know why people even care if this Ze whatever guy is here or not.

As far as the 3 Strike system I see nothing wrong with the way it is now. It works, has been working and will work.
