Coach Callahan on the recruiting trail

We are currently tied for 8th place in the Big 12 with ISU and OSU with one 2007 verbal commit. CU and Baylor are the only two Big 12 schools with zero 2007 commits at this point.
Too early to worry? If so, when do we start to worry?

KSU has recruited nothing but garbage, Texas and Texas A&M naturally have an advantage because of the size of the state and after that we're not far behind. Don't worry about it. it's not like it's december and we've only got 1 recruit, it's MAY.

 
Man, we have a couple good recruiting years and now all of a sudden because "things TOO slow" some panic? Course if we would have 6 verbals and all of them were 2 star guys, then there would be a handful complaining about that also....Can't make everyone happy i guess. Now if by the end of the summer and we still ain't got jack sh#t, then i would worry.... :thumbs

 
people need to chill Coach Callahan now what he is doing. At this time last year we had 2 recruits both instate guys, and the year before we had zero. So things are on the right track, have a little faith. Anyone look at what K-state is getting commits from only 2 guys have more than k-states offer. GBR

You mean guys like Lemark Brown out of STL? NU was on him tough. Or Josh Cherry out of McCook, NE? NU was on him too. Rivals has him as a top 10 kicker for 06. The garbage recruits that had only KSU recruiting them at the time now seem to have others now recruiting them. Just got to them first.

As you know in Lincoln, any of these dudes can change their mind, no LOI signed means open recruitment.

Technically yes. Much like a girl who has a boyfriend technically is available. However, you always have to worry about the boyfriend kicking your a$$! :)

Seriously, you are correct but there seems to be some sort of unwritten rule about commits that some follow, some don't.

 
True. Is that because of the freshman kicker of a year ago who won the job late in the season? Just curious.

Jordon Congdon was named the starter befor the first game of the year.

 
My bad. For some reason I thought NU had a freshman kicker come in late to win the job. Must of gotten the info mixed up on that one.
