I am addicted to that place and I have yet to even buy booze when I am shopping there!
Ha!
when I first moved to NC Costco was one of my first stops. I walked around for like 30 min looking for the liquor. Wine and beer I saw but no liquor. I found out that its state controlled and only sold in ABC stores. In SC on the other hand the Costco basically has a separate liquor store built on the side. Don't even need to go into the main store.I wish I could do more! Sadly Costco is destroying my bank account!

I have been to a lot of states that have some really weird liquor laws.when I first moved to NC Costco was one of my first stops. I walked around for like 30 min looking for the liquor. hah. I moved from IN. You couldn't buy it at gas stations for a long time. That law changed. You also couldn't buy any alcohol from any store on Sundays. Which was stupid because you could still go to a restaurant and buy booze. I was also close enough to the border and made many trips to State Line liquors in Illinois. That law has now changed as well I believe.I have been to a lot of states that have some really weird liquor laws.
In Indiana we could not buy cold beer at the store/gas station, I can't remember which one.
YES! Gas stations! What the hell??hah. I moved from IN. You couldn't buy it at gas stations for a long time. That law changed. You also couldn't buy any alcohol from any store on Sundays. Though it was really weird here. When I was growing up I remember walking into Walgreens and they had a full liquor section like the size of a small liquor store. NC also has allocated stuff so popular bourbons from places like Buffalo Trace are allocated and certain stores only get a handful of bottles.YES! Gas stations! What the hell??
Such a stupid law!
I remember lincoln in the 90's, we could not buy beer on Sunday so we would have to drive outside of lincoln to get beers.
