creating an ad and Putting up ads.

A banner ad is just a graphic with a link attached. I think you'd want some kind of counter or code that tells the recipient site that you came from HuskerBoard, though.

The graphic would be easy to make from the images on their site. The question would be, how would they know the traffic came from us? That's a Dave/zoogs/Frank question.

Once the banner is done, we just need to upload it. We then edit the banner rotation code to include it, as well as the NEXUS code if it is to be added to the rotation for the "in-post" ads. Doesn't take long at all. Chad has fee options depending on whether it's just the top banner, just the "in-posts" banner, or both.

As to creating three columns of ads, I'll defer to

Alex. One problem with doing it, though is sizing. Right now, the banner is something like 780x90. Three of them, side-by-side-by-side would cause horizontal scrolling for those with low resolutions. If we do three in a line, it might make sense to make the two outside banners smaller.

I would say it's their responsibility to come up with a banner ad. We just give them size constraints. I'm not sure how we would track clicks without using a (paid) 3rd party service for that.

In my opinion, there's only room for one horizontal ad banner. Or, technically, it's already two: the main one, and the video player on the side.
