I thought the place would be loud. Watching on TV, seemed very quiet.

Not sure. Maybe I was too sh*tfaced to know one way or the other.

 
It was pretty loud until the team gave up. It was probably loudest after we went down 24-21 and everyone realized the importance of staying close. After that everyone knew it was over.

 
Just like the team, the crowd lost confidence after the missed A. Moss sack before halftime. Walking around during halftime to the concessions and bathrooms, the faces on everyone was as if we were literally losing by 21 points. It seemed like everyone was shell-shocked and knew something bad was coming. It wasn't as loud after they got the first TD

 
I sat in east stadium. I thought it was very loud during the first half, but the air was sucked out of the place when things started going south. Sadly, I think after a decade of this stuff we fear the worst instead of expecting the best.

 
Not to mention, no legit judgement of crowd noise can be made from watching on tv. They have so much technology in terms of audio control to play with that that's not a great position. I'll take it from the folks that were there.

 
What it indicates, is that the fan base is losing interest and confidence of it changing. We only have a few of our stored traditions left. Losing the sell out streak would be a very big blow. That needs to be considered as much as how we are losing.

 
It was loud. When the team came out flat, the crowd sensed it, and laid off as well.

When the team sulked off after the 3rd TD of the 3rd quarter, obviously ok with quitting and letting UCLA jump and dance on their field before the 4th--well then the crowd quit too.

Frankly I don't blame the crowd a bit.
