I thought the place would be loud. Watching on TV, seemed very quiet.

Not sure. Maybe I was too sh*tfaced to know one way or the other.

What's funny us I was asking a legitimate question. On TV sounded really quiet. Whether it was first half or not. I don't expect the crowd to do anything. Should be able to ask a question....

Not saying you're lying, but there is actually no question asked in your original post. Would probably have been helpful, if you were asking an honest question, to actually ask an honest question, such as, "did you guys think the crowd was quiet?"

It was just weird. It didn't really bug me because they were doing it even when they were losing, but I've never seen something quite like it. I wonder if there's not some meaning behind it, seeing as it was the same dance move that they were all doing.

I enjoyed watching UCLA be loose the whole game. During timeouts the Bruins whole bench was jumping up and down to the music staying loose having fun. While the Husker bench is never all that excited. Funny how everything kind of changed after Bo decided to take a step back in the emotional category after that TAMU game 2010. Ever since then, the passion hasn't really been there. IMO.

side note. I kind of found it to be comical that UCLA's crowd was allowed to be heard. The constant "UC--LA *clap* *clap*, UC--LA!" I think its pretty bad when the visiting crowd is allowed to have free reign.

I heard Scott Frost's name thrown out so many times while walking by people after the game too...not sure what warrants that yet, but I guess its just an opinion.

The visiting crowd thing has been discussed numerous times. It's heard because that group of a 1000 people or so are right next the microphones and such for the tv broadcast in terms of stadium location. Theyre just really easy to pick up. Not to mention, if they've got something to cheer so loud for, it's no wonder our fans are quiet.

Bottom line. No one is blaming the crowd. Just mentioned sounding quiet while watching TV.

Just like others who were there have stated. The crowd noise was great in the first half and some of the 3rd qtr but then the wheels fell off the fans were just in shock including myself. In my section, we obviously had a new attending fan there as he got up and looked at some of us who had been screaming our heads off and standing the whole 1st half as well as in key plays in the 3rd qtr and he turned and said, "Come on, what’s wrong with you people, support your team?". Those of us who have been there for years and years, donated forever and gave all our energy to this team just looked at the guy and he quietly sat down only to leave about 5 minutes later.

One of the other donors I was sitting by brought a friend with him from Alabama who had never seen a Husker game (live) and he is a big Donor of the Tide. I spoke to him after the game and he said to me "One of the best venues he had ever been too and he felt bad for us! He said he was very disenchanted about the Husker program because College Football is much better when the Huskers are good. He went on to say that there are very few teams in the Nation that have such an impact on the rest of CFB but Nebraska is one of them and he wished us the best in getting things righted!"

Saturday night in another thread, I spewed out how hard this defeat was on me and those other fans I was sitting by. I thought after the weekend went by that I may come to realize that things are not that bad. This revelation has not occurred and I am still flat as hell about the outcome after being spotted a 21 to 3 lead and ended up getting blown out. Will I be there for the South Dakota State game, I am planning on it and I will cheer. What I feel inside though will be another story!

I do not have an answer to what ultimately needs to be done and like some of you have mentioned in post throughout the board, we have only played 3 games and we will have to see what the rest of the season holds.

My problem is this, "I know we will win the games we should, and lose those games that are questionable"

I'm guessing streetercl was at the game, but even if he wasn't, UCLA's contingent was plenty audible in person.

Yeah, does anyone know what was with the dancing before all of their kickoffs? It was definitely more pronounced when they were up, but they were doing it all game long, even when they were down. Really strange

Having fun. Playing a game. I'd like to see more of it out of our guys. I'm more concerned that we never act like that than I am that they were.

Agreed. How long has it been since it looked like the players enjoyed themselves and had fun playing the game? They look like they're stuck in dead end jobs in some coal mine someplace because they have a wife and a bunch of kids to support and no other options.

So why do they look so miserable and uninterested?

Especially when it looks like Bo made a real effort this offseason to loosen up and make the program more fun. I suppose chemistry takes a lot more than a few uploads to youtube.

I was in the 7th row right behind the north goalposts and I was surrounded by bluehairs, but during the first half, they were all standing and screaming their aged little hearts out. The place was loud. Then the 3rd quarter rolled around and they all, understandably, shut up and sat down. My buddy and I, however, kept standing and yelling like crazy, trying to get some energy in everyone around us and, by extension, the team. That is, until the lady behind us, grabbed both of our shirts, pulled us down, and angrily told us that we had to sit down. I mean, it would be one thing if she would've asked us to please sit down, but the way she did it just royally pissed me off, especially considering the way things were going in the game.

My son and I also ran into the Bluehair crowd.As the lead slipped away,we stood and yelled,only to be told to sit down.We were even lectured about being more considerate.Really,if you want to sit on your butt,with your mouth shut,stay the f*ck home.Its a football game,not a freaking opera.And I'm pushing 60.But still young enough to stand up and cheer.

I was clear up in north stadium. Everyone stood pretty much through the first 3 quarters. It was loud. The couple times I went down to concourse, it was even louder closer to field. It was LOUD.

Also, the speakers coming out of the north jumbo are blasting loud closer to the field. We can hardly here them where we sit but 25 rows closer they are really loud.

Even as our collapse was well under way, there were plenty of us doing our part. Our whole section didn't really sit down until the Wullenwaber drop. To me, that was the turning point. We didn't do jack sh#t after that.
