Daikiel Shorts Hired As New WR Coach

Hopefully he's on like a 13 hour facetime call with Michael Terry right now if that's allowed.

No

It is a fool's errand to count on any true freshman to be starter at any position.  We all saw the growing pains associated with it this year.
Historically sure, but you also can't count on freshman not transferring if you redshirt them anymore.  I think redshirts should be a thing of the past.  Doesn't mean you need to rely on them as your starters, but I feel like you need to plan on getting them in games to 1. keep them around and 2. get actual game experience for next year.  The days of waiting around for 3rd/4th year guys to take over are just out the window.

100% agree.  If they can play, get them on the field.  But to count on a freshman WR to be you #1 or #2 guy when you haven't seen them on campus isn't a smart strategy (unless they are named Ryan Williams or Jeremiah Smith).

I think we all want to win 8, 9, 10 games next year.  The best chance of doing that is to let Dana find a big bodied #1 WR in the portal to complement Barney while the young guys are still coming along.

Much needed improvement  :woo

Now if he can just work with Dana to get #15 to throw darts on time, we might see some YAC.

Some of our current guys look back at the QB and just wait for him to throw the ball.  And that's HS Quarterbacking stuff (Tebow style).   :)
