He will be cut later in the recruiting year because Saban will find someone he thinks is better and then this kid will be scrambling to find another school in January. Poor guy doesn't know what he is in for.

^^^^This. Or, they will oversign like usual, then they will ask him to greyshirt. Then, when his greyshirt runs out, they will ask him to pay his own way b/c they don't have a scholly for him.

Does this sort of thing happen that often? Not that I doubt it, but I don't really follow other teams recruiting practices.
