Was/am slightly skeptical on him. I don't necessarily have any particular worries, just an odd recruitment and I hope he can actually contribute at this level. However, with that said I am fully trusting the staff's evaluation on him.
He's a big athletic kid after watching his film. Has a motor too, could play either side of the ball as he has soft hands.

I don't disagree, but we as fans think every kid we sign is good.

I'm not really saying much other than this was an odd recruitment and I'm trusting the staff here.

Oh okay, got it. I didn't read some of the posts earlier. He appears to be a real good get based on film and measurable.

Definitely would be interesting to know the goings-on behind the scenes.

Thinking this probably has a lot to do with fit/personality.  Which, like you said, would be trusting the staff to make that call.

Not that he's not a really good player.  Just .... a different set of circumstances.

I promise you- Avon Old Farms and other Connecticut prep schools are better competition wise and talent wise than you may think. They have produced a few high level players the last 2-3 cycles and the state itself is starting to produce more and more FBS level talent. I am not saying we need to bend over backwards to recruit CT every year but it is nice to see us establish relationships with a school like Avon Old Farms.

Played lacrosse in high school. Later on, in high school, he switched to football I believe. More of a late bloomer in my opinion with tremendous size and stature. I will trust the staff that we can develop this kid into a great player later on. Also, the last lacrosse player we had worked out pretty well for us in JD.

Welcome, Casey!

Underrated and solid get. I see Casey as a guy that will be a stud in a couple years. I think he's a guy that redshirts and is a contributor by his RS Soph season.

I could see where he could develop to be a tremendous player for us. At some point I wish we could recruit and sign 'the guy' instead of having to recruits players and try to make them iinto 'the guy.
