DE Christian Lacouture [LSU Commit]

This was a mutual decision between the coaches and Christian. I wouldn't at all be surprised if it had to do with the kid's attitude/character. He moved from Midland/Odessa to College Station to Nebraska in High School all so that he could make in roads with the coaching staff of the team(s) he committed to. I think we have a kid here who may have been a cancer to the team. I think the coaches saw that... tested it by telling him he would be at any position on the line and when Christian didn't get his way he bolted. Judging by his actions of moving, moving, moving... I wonder if this kid just wasn't a team player.

Bo has said time and time again... He want's to take the "right kids for the program" over taking numbers to make sure spots are filled. He's taken less kids than he has scholarships for some years because he wasn't going to take a kid who didn't fit exactly what he was looking for. He'd rather have an open space.

Talented kid that will be an asset to any program that he chooses. We saw him as a DT or an DE in a 3-4. He 100% didn't want to do that. Thus the decommittment. Really that simple. Unfortunate for us and Christian and his family.

I've heard this kid has gotten dominated on the hs level at times. After this years blaring exposures on the d line... I'm sure the coaches have gotten their world shaken and realize we need creme of the crop guys. Not saying it has anything to didn't with this.. but I'm sure the staff isn't losing sleep over Christian.
ARod got dominated at times on the high school level as well in Class B competition of all things. The coaches seemed pretty ecstatic to get him.

Sort of weird and not expecting this. Hate to lose DL recruits but if it means we can replace him with someone faster on the DL then I am OK with it. Let's see who replaces this spot. If it was a mutual parting, then hopefully we are upgrading.

i mean he was soo committed to the team he moved all the way here.. then gets told he might move and he bolts.. the two dont jive... dont know what to think but its all very strange

He also moved to College Station with his family while he was committed there. Sounds to me like it's a good thing we don't have to deal with this same crap for 4 years. Best of luck to the kid.
