DE Joe Mathis [Washington Commit]

Visiting Washington's junior days this weekend. USC is out of his top 5. OU & Bama are also suitors, but are behind Nebraska and Michigan. Nebraska leads slightly.

"I liked (Nebraska) at first but then I stopped liking them but after I visited them I was like 'Man, both of these schools are really nice,'" Mathis said.
"I like Nebraska a little bit more. I got to spend four days with the coaches. I spent a lot of time with the head coach and the defensive line coach. It was pretty big."

ughhhh......
he's either very unintelligent, or very immature
Both? He seems kind of attracted to the media if anything.

If I was a 17 year old kid getting wooed by big schools telling me a bunch of things I wanted to hear I'd love them too. Nope. I went to a D3 school without a scholarship.

it just sounds weird, "i liked nebraska, then i didnt, then i visted and liked them again"

"i like cheesecake, but then i didnt like cheesecake, and now i tried cheesecake and liked it again"

just doesnt make any sense how you like a school, and then dont before you visit, why would he have randomly went from likeing them to not likeing them, its because he visited michigan, and it was like nothing he had seen before, and i believe he was quoted saying michigan was his 1, and then he visited here, and loved it, and later said we were number 1, hes the type of kid where if you had the last visit, he will go there.

Agree. There's a lot to sort out for these kids. You got coaches, friends, family, media telling them all sorts of things and they get tugged in different directions. I am sure it gets confusing.
