Did Iowa "destroy" us this year?

We still had a chance going into the 4th quarter, comes down to 5 things:

1. INT #1

2. INT #2

3. Fake punt fail.

4. PI penalty coupled with unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

5. AA's fumble.

That's the game, so that tells you they didn't manhandle us.

Their D-line did manhandle us. So I'd say yes in 2 phases and no in the other.

Five things. Which led to scores.

Nebraska got more than doubled up.

I'm really sick of people not looking the mirror. But here it is. Iowa rolled Nebraska, who now is a middle of the road team in a laughable conference that's so disrespected, the team that hasn't lost in it for two years may not get a chance to play for the title.

And most are ok with staying the course.

Nuance, isn't that the part we are complaining about. That it seems to me is coaching. We were outplayed, out coached. Isn't that the main problem? Do you see it changing in year 7?

i love all the excuses...yeah, they b!^@h slapped us pretty good....what else can you say, besides short field? they flat put up the points.

These are broadstrokes.....saying outplayed and outcoached. We struggled pretty bad at the quarterback position against Iowa.....and really for most of the season. I recall Pelini mentioning his disappointment in the offense as far back as the UCLA postgame presser......and in that presser he said he had been disappointment in each game up to that point. My personal opinion is the fake punt was his attempt to try anything to move the ball on offense. And again, Pelini has acknowledged our offensive issues all season. I don't know if he considers it a personnel issue or primarily on Beck's shoulders......we'll know more in the offseason. I don't know how they consider Stanton to be coming along. In one of Jay Foreman's recent articles, he was pretty high on Stanton, but I have no other info.

I would say we are a little bias in saying the didn't manhandle us because we are both from Iowa and I'm sure you are tired of hearing about it like I am.

Yes, Ill give credit where credit is due, they beat us. I just think the score is closer than the score board showed.

I think you have to add really poor special teams play to the list.

You can't just concede the starting field position battle before the game even starts. Get a block on the guy(s) that downed the ball 1 yard line and maybe things are different. Get a block on the guys charging Westy and maybe he doesn't make the mistake of fair catching at the 3. Both of those could potentially be touchbacks and completely change the play calling. Better yet rush the freaking kicker.

IOWA fans are funny, just ask to see their trophy case, they don't have blueprints to even build one yet........they almost did as much damage to us as the B!G Referee's did, but not quite.

Does it matter? We lost to Iowa at home on senior day...and it felt worse than the Minnesota loss since they are at least trending up under coach Kill. Consider me almost disinterested in the future of Nebraska Football.
