and FYI....i am not a democrat or socialist.   for most my life  I've identified as republican.   now i don't know where i fit but i know it's not in what the republican party has become.

You're claiming you're just making jokes, but it seems to me you believe in what you're saying to some extent. So if that's the case:

Clinton had 8 years, Obama had 8 years. No attacks were made on the 2nd amendment. Quit listening to whoever is tricking you into thinking the Democrats are going to do anything to the 2nd amendment. You've been duped.

You've been similarly duped into thinking having some socialist aspects to our government, like the fire department, police department, schools, highways, and health care are/would be a bad thing.

What? I wasn't talking about Trump. The GOP has been saying that for ages. Trump barely talks about it. I don't think he's very powerful when it comes to GOP messaging. I wasn't even thinking about Trump when I responded to your joke about the 2nd amendment. Again, he doesn't talk about it that much. I replied to the off topic post. I'm not bothered by posts going off topic or by replying to them.

It's fine if the GOP is against the DNC's gun stance, but they constantly try to make their followers think the DNC is just around the corner from weakening or destroying the 2nd amendment, which is obviously false because the DNC has had ample opportunity to do so in the past and hasn't. If you think the DNC is trying to do this, then yes you have been duped. If not, you haven't been.

Of course the DNC has hollow talking points. I haven't claimed that they don't, and I'm not a Democrat. I was responding directly to your comment, so there was no reason to bring those up. Feel free to bring them up and I'll see if I agree. I complain about the DNC here plenty.
