Don't be surprised if MN runs the score up on us

Don't be surprised if it's 0-0 heading into triple overtime.

We can beat this...

It looks like Minnesota's offense has a spark with their new RB. Couple that with our terrible secondary play and Minnesota is not going to have much problem matching our scoring.

Im not sure I'd feel safe if the Huskers were up 9, with the ball, with :10 left in the game and the other team out of timeouts, with a first and goal at the opponents, and the clock moving.
I think the missing piece of the puzzle in your scenario is that Nebraska would have to out of timeouts as well...

MR is a bad coach, and our offense stinks, but I don't see a blowout loss. We may lose, but I expect the loss to be by single digits. We will probably have the lead going into the 4th quarter.

FYI, Leidner is the worst Passing QB we will have faced so far.
We do have a habit of making average QBs look pretty great.
10-4. Leidner's performance will become an All-American first team passer candidate against our porous pass defense. However next game, Mitch will be down to Earth. Stave passing got 322 yards against us ...... just imagine, without Wisky butter fingers and plus wind-less weather, 422 yards or more instead of 322.

If this game does get out of hand, I hope Ryker Fyfe gets some meaningful playing time. Armstrong's backup hasn't seen the field hardly at all this year, and we have six more games to go in a conference that is known for taking its toll injury wise.

If we play our best game and Minne plays its best game, we will lose 30 to 20. They will have thrown for 200+ (a mile for them! btw) and run for 320. We will have thrown for 245 and run for 175. We will one fumble and two ints.

I said towards the ends of non con as the meltdowns continued over our pass defense that I was comfortable with the mentality to sell out on the run first. Here's why. Lunt, Stave, Leidner, Northwestern fr. My thought was that if we allow these guys to throw for 300 yards, well, then, we are doing so well at taking these teams out of their comfort zone of what they WANT to do, that we would win and win handily. Now. We didnt. But I ask you. Who do you put more blame on in the Illinois loss and Wisconsin loss? Offense for defense? Sure, it's a team game. But lets play this game anyway? Who do we blame? We held Illinois to less than 50% comp percentage, 260 yards passing and 14 points. We held Wisconsin to less than 50% comp percentage. Joel Stave completed less than 50% and went over 300 yards. You make Wisconsin throw that much, and you like your chances, yes? They scored 23 points. And prior to conference play, if you were told these situations, youd think we have fair chances to win these games pretty out right. But you have to score points.

Now, ifs and buts were candy and nuts. But that's my take

Minnesota is not gonna run the score up. This game will be a close one again. Jesus. these sky-is-falling assumptions are beyond ridiculous. WHAT EVIDENCE ARE YOU BASING A BLOWOUT LOSS ON? Like prediciting 9 wins for this season-which is still possible by the way. Well, when you win 9+ games 8 times in 9 years, makes it pretty hard to think otherwise, yes?

Well then, if we blow out Minnesota, I hope Ryker Fyfe gets some meaningful playing time to get some game experience so he's ready if needed.
