Don't be surprised if MN runs the score up on us

I'd much rather blow out Minnesota State. Then we'll get thirty minutes of crazy plot and antics from Dauber and Luther to take our mind off of the current debacle.

I said towards the ends of non con as the meltdowns continued over our pass defense that I was comfortable with the mentality to sell out on the run first. Here's why. Lunt, Stave, Leidner, Northwestern fr. My thought was that if we allow these guys to throw for 300 yards, well, then, we are doing so well at taking these teams out of their comfort zone of what they WANT to do, that we would win and win handily. Now. We didnt. But I ask you. Who do you put more blame on in the Illinois loss and Wisconsin loss? Offense for defense? Sure, it's a team game. But lets play this game anyway? Who do we blame? We held Illinois to less than 50% comp percentage, 260 yards passing and 14 points. We held Wisconsin to less than 50% comp percentage. Joel Stave completed less than 50% and went over 300 yards. You make Wisconsin throw that much, and you like your chances, yes? They scored 23 points. And prior to conference play, if you were told these situations, youd think we have fair chances to win these games pretty out right. But you have to score points.

Now, ifs and buts were candy and nuts. But that's my take

Minnesota is not gonna run the score up. This game will be a close one again. Jesus. these sky-is-falling assumptions are beyond ridiculous. WHAT EVIDENCE ARE YOU BASING A BLOWOUT LOSS ON? Like prediciting 9 wins for this season-which is still possible by the way. Well, when you win 9+ games 8 times in 9 years, makes it pretty hard to think otherwise, yes?
Oh, man that makes way too much sense for some on this board. The deep ball didn't hurt NU on Saturday it was the intermediate stuff. Mostly late in the game against a very tired defense. These last 2 losses fall squarely on the offensive side of the ball.

They did just put up 41 on Purdooodooo. However that said they also played well against TCEwwwww they lost that within on score if memory serves me right.

There offense was none existent against a good NW team. So this is a head scratchier.

I see this going NU if we play 4 quarters of football. It seems we like to play one half.

It almost reminds me of watching old Iowa teams, somewhat lazy and inconstant with there performances in all aspects also being penalty ridden is never a plus for a struggling team.

Am I the only who got annoyed during the opening credits of that show when they flashed a game ball in which a fictional "Nebraska State" lost 21-10 to a Chattanooga?

I love getting on these boards seeing all these people complaining about how terrible of a coach MR is. Prolly the same people that b!^@h and complain about their sons 10U little league baseball coach

Nope, you're not the only one who saw that and was annoyed. LOL...

It looks like Minnesota's offense has a spark with their new RB. Couple that with our terrible secondary play and Minnesota is not going to have much problem matching our scoring.
I picked that rb up on waivers.. He ran all over Purdue last week. Not sure whether to try him this week. Going by how this season has gone for me I should play him just to get a jinx going that could finally push the 'skers over the top.

This is a pivotal game. A win keeps us in position to attain bowl eligibility and keeps a fire in the team's belly. Lose and the wheels could start coming off.
