Doom 3

Yes, long time ago, when it first came out.

I loved it. Fun revamp, made me jump at times, storyline was good not great, and there were no prevalent technical issues.

DId you buy the early edition Enhance?

I picked up the BFG edition not too long ago for a little over 20 bucks. Comes with ports of the original Doom and Doom 2 games. It's fantastic! I remember loving to play them as a little kid on our old Macintosh computer!

 
I had the original edition. I think I bought it a few weeks after it came out.

I also bought Doom and Doom 2 at the same time. Doom was the first video game I ever played, and I used to play it ALL the time. Loved it.

 
I too played the orginal Doom 3 when it first came out. I would turn off all the lights and crank up my surround sound (cerwin vega 12" sub) call my boys in the room and scare that crap out of them. Creepy in that you can here footsteps behind you and the turn around and some dude is right on top of you. Goodtimes, goodtimes Oh yeah, spoiler alert, disappointed with the ending.

 
I played it years ago. Thought it was ok. I tried playing it again not that long ago, and found it didn't hold the test of time for me.

If you are looking for a dark, spooky game now, I would recommend Dead Space 1&2.
