There's no way it will. Especially not this level of stupidity. If you find out someone in the Big Ten (especially a team that kicks the crap out of you!) is recruiting a guy in Nebraska, you recruit him to keep him out of their hands. At the very least. This is worse because this player is really good.

Not a local kid.   Grew you in Illinois.  And Philips had an offer, but sent to Stanford not Wisconsin. 

If a guy goes to high school at LSE for at least 3 years, I would call him a local kid. Riley, Devaney, and Diaco really screwed this one up.

I respect his decision.  He had a relationship already built with Wisconsin.  Frost and staff seem like they got a fair shot.  We now need to move onto more guys in the trenches.  We need help on both DL and OL.
