Haven't followed "long range" recruiting before now, but I wonder if this is new (or a change in philosophy) for Nebraska to be throwing their "hat in the ring" early with other Nationally recognized programs. Not sure if it is partly just to tweak them, or part of the plan to return Nebraska to truly competing on their level again in the very near future. I don't see a lot of downside to the practice.
