Supposedly this kid has some legit interest. Wants to play somewhere cold (he's an ice hockey guy) and likes the big10 style, but doesn't know much about Nebraska. Oregon offer would be big, they are on the edge of offering or not.

We better hope the Minnesota doesn't offer...

With a name like Rutger, he has got to be a tough strong Blackshirt type. Nebraska has everything he would want, including the hockey within walking distance.

Oh my...
Certainly we have a chance. We have a chance with about 50% of recruits I'd say. There are a certain number who are destined to go a certain place (family, history, location, etc.) but we should never be afraid to recruit any player anywhere any time who fits our needs and is a great athlete and student and we believe will represent Nebraska in the manner expected. This young man appears to be a great fit and from what little we know about him, has the size and reputation to be another great Blackshirt legend.

Just too difficult to pull a player out of the SEC area when you are the 14th to offer.
I'm not going to go back and look, however i'm sure we have pulled this off a dozen times with similar late offers. There are 100+ colleges and there is no way we are going to be in the top 10 to offer every time.

We offered Ameer Abdullah, being pursued by in-state schools in Alabama, with a week to signing day.

why does the board keep telling me I'm not allowed to use 'this image extension in the community' when I try to post pictures of Rutger Hauer?
