Ya, I’m not entirely sure how accurate the information is. Supposedly, Sir Yacht’s inside source also informed him that the Big Ten was cancelling the fall season, prior to cancellation discussions becoming public. I guess we shall see shortly whether this is legit, or a great troll job.
Yup- at least the anticipation is entertaining.

Dirk C. Is following him by the way.

How Warren did not come out after the schedule release and say

"Here is the deal, they want to play, I want them to play, the fans want them to play.  Right now, we are moving on as if we are going to play and we are going to do everything we can, everything, to make sure our players are safe, because we know how much this game means to them, to you and to the communities and frankly to the universities.. I would rather wait until the last second to cancel because you never know what can happen"

That would be a normal person.  Those in the rarified air, do not have common sense.......Or at least not those who are in the public eye....

Current NCAA Med Doctor says testing isn't up to par to allow sports this fall.......Says students coming back, doing what students do, could be the downfall.  Too long to get results, not enough testing etc....

Duh.  If students will be the downfall, WHY ARE WE EVENING HAVING STUDENTS ON CAMPUS.  Allowing protests, rallies, stores to be open, people to work etc..........

Play the game. It's a multi billion dollar industry.  It will help the economy. Help ma and pa (and chain stores) in college towns... Help the mental health of the nation etc....

I thought someone else said that there’s is a rapid spit test for detection and this alone was going to save CFB

No s#!t...A-freaking-men.

Too big of ego's involved to reverse this decision, i'll believe it when I see it. I still might not believe it even then.

The article said it's on the way.  Family member in SC thought they had it.  Waited 2 hours in line to get test, but got the results next day.  The local med college had a lab and was able to do that.  I think most P5 schools would have ties to a medical school to assist in testing.....

No doubt there is a great deal of pressure boiling up inside the Big Ten schools and their fan bases.  I bet big numbers of donors are ticked off as well.   Recruits are backing out, coaches are nervous about jobs etc.

The Big Ten made perhaps the single biggest decision financially in conference history - hundreds of millions (a billion?) lost.

NU said what nobody else publicly would admit.   The reality just had not been truly acknowledged, except as a passing footnote.  Saying its all about the safety and not about

money sounds great until the money loss is real and massive.  Jobs, families, kids, homes, scholarships etc are being wiped out on a massive scale.  All these consequences out of fear that one or a few will die from a virus spreading worldwide.  To date, I dont believe even 1 college athlete has been hospitalized, let alone died, after over 5 months and tens of millions of infections across the country.

Will the Big Ten reverse course?  How can it after the way they treated NU for just wanting to find alternative opponents after the Big Ten cancelled every game.  The conference leadership will look totally foolish and be a laughing stock.  And, if things did later turn sour, what then?  Cancel again?

Not happening imo.
