Duval's S&C - Year 2

Those are 1000000% not eleiko weighted collars. They’re plastic wrap collars that turn and lock in place. They’re not Weighted.

It’s a lot more likely he didn’t pay attention to them being plastic and just threw the comment out there than he’s never lifted. Most non lifters wouldn’t think about the collars at all, and the metal ones can weigh about that much.

You’re right though they look plastic. I didn’t look for them in the photos/video.

What the hell kind of collars do you use that weigh 5-10 lbs??? :P

I don’t but I know they exist. I assume they’re safer. But when you have spotters on each side of the bar it probably doesn’t matter.

Also the guy was talking adding 5-10lbs to the bar so that’s 2.5-5lbs each.

They are really useful for weightlifting competitions where you need an exact number on the bar taking the collars into account. Here is a rundown of pretty much every type of collar imaginable (even the Husker Power collars made the list!). The good stuff is on the bottom of the list.

Not sure who that is at the 16-second mark but it almost looked like Zig in the couple of seconds he was up.

I think it might be Dedrick Mills. Similar hair and hairline and a tattoo on the right arm, also a necklace and an earring. (I'm sure lots of the guys have a tattoo on their arms but it looks like it could be his).
